Plesk 10 Health Monitor Woes
Following on from my previous blog entry about Hard disks, after increasing my disk allocation I was still having issues with Plesk reporting the old disk space values.
When you add new hard drive and increase diskspace or add RAM to your server or replace CPU with more powerful all these hardware changes are not reflected in Health Monitor. You still see old hardware values there.
Thanks Plesk,
New values of hardware configuration are not automatically re-calculated by Health Monitor.
Ok here’s the fix
Linux:
# /usr/local/psa/bin/sw-engine-pleskrun /usr/local/psa/admin/plib/scripts/setup-health-monitor.php
Windows:
>"%plesk_bin%\php.exe" -d auto_prepend_file="" "%plesk_dir%\admin\plib\scripts\setup-health-monitor.php"
Original Plesk Knowledgebase artciles is here.
Brand new laptop full of crap!
Just got back from Pcworld with a new Windows based laptop (I know but Sage Accounts only works on Windows and I’m fed up of not being able to have my Mac on at the same time!)
It’s an okay machine, ugly as sin but most PC laptops are, one major gripe is the amount of so called free crap they insist on installing. I am sat here waiting for no less than 30 pieces of software and trials to be removed!
Please why not just ask us in the setup if we want to try your software!?
Windows 7 First Thoughts
Popped along to PC World yesterday and bought a copy of Windows 7 Professional (didn’t seem to be any benefit to going for Ultimate).
Now I was a little apprehensive as I am installing under BootCamp on my Mac, I had XP installed so I backed up my files and the removed my BootCamp partition before starting from scratch.
Installation was rather quick, I was expecting hours, yet inside 30minutes I had my OS X disc in installing drivers.
As much as it pains me to say it, it’s nice. I mean really nice! Easy on the eye and simple to use first impressions are good. I’m still getting a few programs installed so hope they will all work (went for the x64 version). Just downloading the Windows XP Mode which claims to allow older programs to run inside a virtual PC.
I’ll keep you posted!
Opps Internet Explorer Sucks!
Ok just noticed whilst checking my new site that IE has a few weird colours. I’ll sort it out as soon as I can, why not use FireFox instead which is a far superior browser (and doesn’t ruin the site design!)
